
Elizabeth Chase Olsen (born February 16 1989) is an American actress from the United States. Olsen was born in Sherman Oaks, California. She started acting at four years old. After starring in Martha Marcy May Marlene's crime film, Olsen was widely praised and was nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Award. The film was then followed by Silent House. Olsen was awarded the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2011. She completed her studies two years later at New York University. Olsen became a global sensation because of her portrayal as Scarlet Witch and Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media series. The character was featured in the superhero films Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Captain America: Civil War (2016). Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Avengers: Endgame (2019). Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). Her performance in WandaVision earned her nominations for an Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and the Mystery Film Wind River (2017). She was executive producer on and also starred in Sorry for Your Loss (2018-19), winning a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination.
