Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin is a native of Beirut. The Arabic word for "hope" is'ml. Her family emigrated from Lebanon when she was two years old during the Lebanese Civil War, and moved to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Ramzi Alamuddin is a Lebanese Druze who comes from Baakline, a village in the Chouf District of the Alam al-Din Dynasty. He earned an MBA at the American University of Beirut.
