Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th, 1946 Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of living through her vibrant and far-ranging imagination. Prior to learning how to write and read Dolly Parton was composing her own songs. After getting her first guitar at age of 8, she began to play at radio stations in Knoxville in Tennessee. The same year, she released her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. While in high school, she established herself in the community, but her dream was greater. After she finished her high school, in 1964, she moved to Nashville. The first charting record she had on Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Porter Wagoner began looking for female singers to join his television show that was syndicated approximately the exact at the same time. Parton was hired in 1967, signed with RCA Records by 1968, and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. She left Wagoner's show, however, in 1974 due to her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. Parton composed I Will Always love You for Wagoner following their split. The song reached the top of the charts at. 1 for the first time in 1974.
