Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician as well as a composer. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer to the One Direction band. In Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive, along with three of his classmates, formed a music group dubbed White Eskimo. Their excellent performances helped them take home their first Battle of Bands 2009. The musician was always fascinated by the arts, however he also wished to become the profession of a lawyer, physiotherapist, or even scout. In order to support his family, he worked a short time working part-time at a baker's shop. Harry Styles, in 2010 made an audition for The X Factor. His song Is not She Lovely was and was performed by Stevie Wonder. The reason for this was that his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd be forming an ensemble called One Direction after the X Test audition. The formation of the group took place in the year 2010, and the five young people were funded by Simon Cowell. The band performed songs such as My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the contenders for the prize. They were however in third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell nevertheless paid two million dollars to One Direction for them to agree to a contract with Syco.
